The year gone by @ Cultural Affairs… an Experience Beyond MBA

Orientation programme for incoming first year students involving formal and informal interactions. As part of the formal interaction, we made various presentations to them about life at FMS. As part of informal interactions, a series of ice-breaking games and activities were organized.
- Incoming Students' Dinner involving faculty, students and parents.
- Trip to Connaught place and to No-Escape, a pub-restaurant, an introductory "evening out" for first year students.
- The much awaited Freshers welcome party!!!
- Made and distributed an Introductory Booklet about the cultural resources of Delhi.
- Cultural evening with students exhibiting their talents:
- A Bharatnatyam performance by Abhilasha Sachdeva of first year
- A formal PowerPoint presentation on Uzbekistan followed by traditional Uzbek dance performed by Ms. Feruza of first year
- A shayari performance by Shankar
- Singing and Guitar performance by Kaushik ,Ajitabh Nayak and Gaurav Arya.
- Trip to Habitat World for a music fusion concert involving various percussion
instruments, the Sarod, vocal music and electronic piano.
- Trip to Humayun's tomb, Dilli Haat ( famous for shopping, theme weeks, momos and fruit beer!!)
- We coordinate all cultural activities, cultural festivals and business game competitions on other campuses and organize the selection processes for fair selection of the most deserving students.
- Punjabi-Sufiana Ghazal concert at FMS, performance by a student from the Music Faculty.

In the Offing…
- Interaction with the Delhi School of Economics
- We would like to get some famous personalities outside the business domain to come and speak with us.
- Expose students to a wider variety of cultural activities happening @ IHC and Kamani Auditorium etc.
FMS is more than just about academic excellence, great placements and an outstanding brand name. We believe in Leaders not just Managers… and Cultural Affairs tries its best to make such Leaders!
