An Odyssey with International Entrepreneurship Challenge - 2006


The International Entrepreneurship Challenge 2006 was an endeavor to bring bright ideas to the forefront and assist in converting them to reality. The competition was flagged open on 24th October 2006 and saw ideas pouring in from all over the world with a total of 267 teams participating across categories (Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Corporate). After a rigorous selection process comprising of two stages and exhaustive mentoring by Industry experts, six chosen teams were to present their mettle before a distinguished set of judges and potential investors. YES BANK International Entrepreneurship Challenge also featured Guaranteed Incubation Facility sponsored by Nirma Labs to winners along with the YES BANK Entrepreneur of the Year Trophy and cash prizes.

The backup were YES Bank support, E-Cell's Board of Directors, the Venture Capital assurance by Nirma Lab and in essence, entire FMS Community. IEC 2006 could only be converted to reality with the generous support of the corporates.

The Event culminated with its grand finale during Fiesta 2006 on 9th December'2006 with the presentation of the final business plans in front of the Board of Directors.

The Event was hailed a huge success, fostering the Spirit of Entrepreneurship among students with due support from the academia and the corporates.
