International Conferences Group (iCons), Faculty of Management Studies, takes great pride and pleasure in announcing its third Annual International Conference. The emerging retail industry in India has gained importance over the years and has opened doors for new trends and formats. However, the story of Indian retail revolution has contradictory faces which lead us to wonder about “The Great Indian Retail Revolution: Myth vs Reality”. The conference would be held from 2nd-3rd Feb 2008.
Our Objective
Through this conference, we would like:
To encourage review and critique of extant theory and current marketing practices, providing new direction taking into account the realities of the emergent knowledge-based economy and globalization.
To provide a platform for researchers and academicians, delegates, managers, policy makers and students, to share their research findings and experiences on issues relating to emerging marketing challenges.
To explore new avenues in the direction of alternative theoretical representations that will allow for new conceptualizations in the field of retail marketing.
Global Collaboration
As part of its recent initiatives, negotiations are in the final stages of signing a MOU with Civil Service College International, Government of Singapore and with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan. Earlier this year, FMS had initiated a student exchange program with Jean Maulin University, Lyon, France. The summer business program gave the students insights into conducting business in the European Union. The institute is also in the process of forging links with various reputed management institutions across the world such as Belk School of Business (BSB), University of Charlotte; Miller College of Business, Ball State University, USA; Norwich Business School, UK; IAE Marseille, EUROMED Spain and the National University of Singapore.
