Universities and B-schools.
About I-Cons
I-Cons under the guidance of Professor Vijay Kapur, Chairman
(International relations Secretariat), endeavours to develop
an understanding of international business and culture amongst
the students of FMS.
The various activities that we undertake to accomplish this
objective are:
- Facilitating the international student exchange programmes
at FMS.
- Initiating relationship with internationaaly acclaimed
B-schools and universities
- Organizing international conference to showcase FMS as
to the international management community.
- Encouraging and facilitating faculty exchange programmes.
- Facilitating the setup of a Satellite Campus Programme
with foreign B-schools/universities.
- Organizing short-term study programmes for students in
partnership with foreign Universities and B-schools, to
comply with the semester system at FMS.
- Inviting foreign students and conducting short-duration
educational and cultural programmes for them.
- Partnering and organizing functions with foreign embassies
in India to encourage sharing of cross-cultural management
practices and entrepreneurial ideas.
- Identifying new avenues for scholarships and financial
aid for foreign exchange programmes.
- Partnering with international communities/associations
(like iFAN)
Highlights:
- Hosted Lahore University of Management Science and Korea
S.E for Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s lecture series on
“Economics, Technology and National Development.”
- Educational-cum-Industrial tour of 11 students and a Faculty
member to Beijing, Shanghai and Shenyang (Lianoning province),
China. Programme included a visit to University of International
Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing , China.
- Summer Business Programme at IAE de Lyon , Universite
Jean Moulin Lyon 3, France attended by 9 students.
- Journee France, in association with Embassy of France
in India.
- Inviting Fulbright Scholar Prof. Gordon Patzer, Roosevelt
University in Chicago, for a semester conducting course
on Competitive Strategy.
- Facilitated Exchange program for three Students from
IAE, Aix-en-Provence, France.
