MarkSoc – Marked for work…and party

Events @ Fiesta ‘06:

National Business games by the Marketing Society at Fiesta ‘06, the annual management festival of FMS, included Genesis (paper presentation contest), Mayhem (market simulation strategy game), Eminence (Coca-Cola case study competition), Brand Aid (brands quiz) and Hmmm…(online marketing game).


Prateek - 2005:

Prateek, an International Brand Naming Contest, was organized by the Marketing Society in association with Hangkuk University, South Korea. The contest invited entries for suggestion of brand names for socks and DVD players being launched in India. The event witnessed large participation from students as well as corporates. This was a truly global event with entries from US, Singapore and Thailand. Some major corporates that participated in the event were Citibank, Ernst & Young and TATA Motors.


Think – 2004:

A national lever paper presentation contest was organized by the Marketing Society, in association with Hindustan Times. The event received an overwhelming response.

  • Mr. Rohithari Rajan from HUL gave an enlightening talk on the initiative of HLL called ‘Project Shakti’.
  • Mr. Rajesh Ratan, an illustrious alumnus, and a senior manager with the Times of India, presented some marketing strategies being followed by companies in today’s competitive market place, more so in the ever so dynamic media industry.

Publications:

‘Markazine’ which is our flagship journal keeps the readers up-to-date with the new developments, happenings and issues in the area of marketing, and provides a forum for students to share their views on the subject.

MarkSoc also comes out with ‘Hardsell’ – a sales and distribution journal which details various nuances of the field.

‘Vitamin M’ is a periodical dose of information capsule with trivia and interesting articles in the marketing domain.
