BrandWagon – The Brands’ Conclave – 2006
:

The Marketing Society organized BrandWagon on 21st December, 2006, The Seminar comprised thought-provoking debate on various topics related to Brands, such as Brand Positioning, Brand Activation and Promotion.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr.J.K.Mitra, Dean, FMS Delhi with an introduction on ‘Branding’ in India. The Key Note address was delivered by Dr. H.V.Verma wherein he illustrated the “Magic, Myth and Mystique of Branding.” He gave meaningful insights on the ongoing debate facing Marketers today: In the modern time of flux, when production methodology is becoming similar and concept copying is becoming rampant, how does one go about creating a differentiating marketing strategy?

Mr. Sanjeev Bhargava, COO, FCB Ulka and a FMS Alumnus, with over 20 years of experience in the Advertising field presented a case study on “Whirlpool in India: Brand Identity Development.” Mr. Pankaj Wadhwa, MD, Kidstuff Events and Promos, further discussed promotional campaigns like Pears ‘Camp Sunshine’ and Pepsi’s ‘Blue Billion Express’ enlightening the students on the concept of Brand Activation and Promotion.

Mr. Trivikram Thakore, Head-Brands Mobile Devices, Motorola India narrated the turnaround story of the company in India. He provided an in-depth analysis of the marketing strategies adopted for different products launches. Ms. Lakshmi Dutta Gupta, VP Client Services, O&M gave an engrossing account of the marketing strategy of Motorola.

 

The Marketing Society Seminar – Colloquia 2003:

A Marketing seminar titled ‘Colloquia’ was organized by the Marketing Society at the Mariott Hotel. The first session was titled, “Crystal Gazing: What the Future Holds.” The notable speakers were Mr. Mahendra Swaroop, CEO-Times Internet; Mr. William Pickney, CEO- Amway; Ms. Leanne Cutts - Vice President (GSK Consumer Healthcare); Mr. Anil Rajpal - Senior Consultant (KSA Technopak) and Prof. M.M. Anand.

The second session was titled, “Market Lessons: Through the looking Glass.”
The industry stalwarts for this session were Mr. Sunder Hemrajani, Former-Executive Director (Sales) Pepsi and a FMS alumnus, Mr. Anupam Singh, Regional Manager, Passenger Cars Business Unit (North), Tata Motors; Mr. Deepankar Tiwari, Product Manager, Cars (North), Tata Motors; Mr. Arjun Uppal, Ex-Managing Director, Mother Dairy Foods Limited

 

The National Marketing Symposium 2002:

The Marketing Society organized a seminar on the theme, On the BrandWagon: Managing the Mindshare Manifesto at the Marriott Hotel on 14th September, 2002.
