GreenPeace Guest Lecture

Vihaan in partnership with Greenpeace organized a session by Mr. Ravi Ramesh Pathak to highlight the e effects of Climate change on the world with focus being on India. Greenpeace is an independent organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace through multi-pronged approaches. The session was also used as an platform to involve the students as well as FMS as an institution in their ongoing BAN THE BULB campaign, that aims at banning the incandescent electric bulbs and replacing them with more energy efficient CFLs, by appealing to the students to sign a petition against the use of bulb and proposing to make FMS a bulb free campus. Additionally, a documentary on the effects of climate change on the world and specifically on GANGA was screened to underline the plight of all the stakeholders. Students participated enthusiastically and also showed willingness to volunteer for various Greenpeace activities
