The event was about designing a social awareness campaign which highlighted some of the most critical issues plaguing the Society. Teams were assigned relevant social issues like ‘Corruption’, ‘Ragging’, ‘Animal Rights’, ‘Saying NO to Drugs’ and they had to design an effective social awareness campaign. Teams were assigned budgets and had to allocate funds & resources and in the most productive manner so as to bring about maximum social change by targeting a vast audience through different promotion vehicles like street plays, newspaper advertisements and radio campaigns.
Teams had to strategize on the promotion mix, choice of media & frequency of promotion on the basis of the impact, cost and audience size associated with each channel. An interesting aspect of the event was the auction which took place for the slots on various radio channels. Students made bids for the advertizing slots on the radio with maximum audience.

Blood Donation camp
Vihaan - FMS organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Parivartan, an NGO working towards improving lives of people and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, on Tuesday, 11th September '07. This was yet another initiative by Vihaan to spread awareness about the issues and problems facing the humanity, however big or small and to mobilise efforts towards their eradication.
A temporary camp was setup within the FMS premises in a Volvo for this purpose. Students were first counselled by the doctors about the need for blood donation and the various ways where blood donated by them could help other people. Several first time donors clarified their doubts from the doctors and from their more experienced batch mates who had been actively participating in blood donation activities in the past as well. Every donor was provided with a donor’s card for this effect which enables them to receive free blood units.
In a country which suffers from major crisis of blood, such efforts by Vihaan are constant endeavours to make a difference to the lives of people and to work towards a social change.
